Amelia Strahan
journalist
As a reporter, I’ve had the privilege of telling hundreds of stories over the course of my career.
Most recently, I reported in New Orleans, a city that never runs out of stories. Over the past two years, I’ve delivered live coverage during major breaking news events, including the Bourbon Street terrorist attack, Hurricane Francine, and the Orleans Justice Center inmate escape.
I got my start along the Gulf Coast, where working in a smaller market taught me how to earn viewers’ trust.
Earlier in my career, I worked in production on Neil Cavuto: Coast to Coast at Fox Business Network in New York City, a role that taught me the value of journalistic integrity.
My first real taste of the national stage came during college, when I interned at the Weekend Today Show, an experience that showed me just how powerful strong storytelling can be.
Growing up in small-town Mississippi taught me how to connect with people from all walks of life. It’s where I learned that great journalism doesn’t always come from big headlines. It comes from listening closely, showing up in the community, and earning trust one conversation at a time.
